When it comes to the 2024 presidential election, Joe Biden’s not been getting very much support from his party.
Democrats in both the Senate and the House are ducking questions of whether or not they’re personally supportive of a Biden 2024 run. Meanwhile, other Democrats are writing op-eds saying that Biden has no business seeking reelection.
Up until recently, all accounts have indicated the 46th president isn’t going to bow out of the 2024 election. After all, the White House has been screaming from the rooftops that Biden’s going to run again with Vice President Kamala Harris as his running mate.
Although over the weekend, New York Democratic Rep. Carolyn Maloney let it slip that Biden actually isn’t going to run for a second term, as documented by Yahoo News.
No Biden 2024 Campaign After All?
During an interview with the New York Times, Maloney spoke about a series of matters ranging from congressional term/age limits to the 2024 White House race.
This is when the New York congresswoman claimed that Biden is not running again and should not campaign again. Maloney claimed her remark about the president not seeking reelection should be “off the record,” but the Times didn’t agree to go off the record.
Amazing exchange. NYT: Should Biden run again? Maloney: "Off the record, he's not running again." NYT: "Not off the record. On the record. Maloney: "No, he should not run again." https://t.co/5sJzy1iyKR

Following this was when the Democratic congresswoman declared Biden “should not” go for a second term in the Oval Office.
Maloney’s comments mark the very first time that an elected official publicly stated Biden isn’t going to be persuing reelection.
Consistent Bad Press
Whether or not Biden does or does not go for another term in the White House remains to be seen. Nevertheless, the president is getting bombarded with one round of bad press after the next.
From various alleged criminal wrongdoings of his son Hunter to inflation, gas prices, unlawful immigration, and a laundry list of other issues, Biden isn’t doing so well politically.
His poll ratings have been consistently underwater, despite the administration publicly claiming the nation is doing well.
Joe Biden has no events scheduled for tomorrow, which is the one year anniversary of Afghanistan falling to the Taliban and the U.S. embassy being evacuated.

Lately, Biden’s been under fire for taking virtually back-to-back vacations in Delaware and now South Carolina as Americans are suffering. While the president rides his bike at the beach, countless people are wondering how they’re going to be able to pay their mortgages and find childcare.
Under Biden, the nation is facing mass shortages ranging from teachers and technology chips to baby formula, tampons, and other supplies. Amid these shortages, the supply chain remains a mess and the nation hasn’t dug its way out of a recession.
All things considered, these factors could be why Rep. Maloney told the New York Times that Biden won’t be seeking a second term.
