According to Melinda French Gates, a number of circumstances contributed to the decision to divorce Bill Gates, her spouse of 27 years, including his collaboration with the convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
It was in a new interview with Gayle King, which premiered on CBS last Thursday, the philanthropist opened out about their divorce for the first time in public.
She revealed it was “not one thing, but a combination of things” that led to the breakdown of their marriage.

Melinda was not pleased with the fact Bill had secret conferences alongside Jeffrey Epstein, to put it mildly.
She went on to say she made this obvious to the convicted sex trafficker; she only met with him once since she wanted to find out who this man was.
She went on to say, “I knew I’d made a mistake the second I walked through the door.”
“He was disgusting in every way. He was the personification of evil. It pains my heart to think of these women.”
The meeting with Epstein, according to Bill, was a mistake for which he expressed sorrow. The decision had been made in error to a significant extent.
Melinda also spoke candidly about her ex-husband’s romance with a Microsoft employee two decades ago. This was confirmed by a spokeswoman for the company’s co-founder in May of the following year.
As someone who believes in forgiveness, Melinda revealed she assumed they had sorted through some of the issues.
It wasn’t a single incident or a single precise thing that occurred. It just got to the point in life in which there was enough of it that Melinda understood it wasn’t healthy and that she couldn’t put her faith in what they were dealing with.

When asked by King if Bill had engaged in any additional affairs during the duration of their marriage, Melinda stated, “those are things Bill should answer.”

Melinda Gates went on to add she “never imagined” she would end up divorcing her husband. However, as it turned out, their relationship deteriorated to the point that she felt she could not continue being married to him any longer.
“Unfortunately, I felt as though I needed to go a different route,” she explained very clearly. This was a prevailing theme throughout the interview that Melinda gave.
Ever since their divorce, Melinda has experienced a wide variety of emotions, like the days where she is literally laying on the floor, on the carpet, wondering, ‘How can this be?'”
According to her, “that’s a regular part of the mourning process. You’re grieving the loss of what you believed you had and believed you would have for the rest of your life.
